In a remote New Mexico town, gym manager Lou (Kristen Stewart)'s life is turned upside down when bodybuilder Jackie (Katy M. O'Brian) shows up at her gym. Jackie, who works at the shooting range of Lou's criminal father (Ed Harris), does everything she can to train for the most important bodybuilding competition in Las Vegas, something that Lou is more than happy to help her with.
However, their fast but intense lovestory takes an unexpected turn when Lou's sister (Jena Malone) is brutally abused and ends up in the hospital. Soon everything spirals violently out of control and Lou must face not only her father's dark past, but her own as well.
