Agnieszka Hollands Green Border is about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Europe. The title refers to the swampy forests on the border between Poland and Belarus, a key location in the drama. Here the influx of migrants (mostly from the Middle East and Africa) risk their lives in an attempt to reach the European Union. Entangled in a web of disinformation, other people's interests and abuse, they are sent - as pawns of a geopolitical game - from Poland to Belarus.
