Together with the public, we strive to preserve or restore a clean environment and nature. Together, we are responsible for our ecological footprint. We are aware of the impact of our business activities on the environment and society and act in a way that the natural environment is preserved and available for future generations as well. We therefore have the ambition to be recognised as an example of corporate social responsibility in the Groningen region. We do this by increasingly integrating sustainability into our business processes, services and products.
We make conscious choices and seek a balance between people, the environment and society. This statement is a process, not a final destination. We are constantly looking for new ways and opportunities to do business in a socially responsible way. Only together do we stand strong and ensure a future that belongs to everyone.
The Forum is happy to work towards a more sustainable future. In 2023, we achieved gold again in the Green Key assessment, we did the same in 2020, 2021 and now again. Good result!
Green Key is a quality mark for sustainable organisations in the leisure and recreation sector and business market, such as the Forum. The aim of Green Key is to promote appreciation and knowledge of nature and the environment as widely as possible. Worldwide, more than 1,600 companies and organisations in 18 countries are members of the international Green Key quality mark. Forum Groningen is one of them.
To obtain a Green Key certificate, you have to take many measures regarding environmental care and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The inspections are carried out by external inspectors. At such inspections, we receive many tips and ideas on how we could improve. This is how we work hard to make our business processes, services and products more sustainable.
