Melancholy writer Rick (Christian Bale) feels empty despite his seemingly successful life. He wonders why he lives on this world and searches for the meaning of life. During his love adventures, he comes closer and closer to finding his place on this earth. Knight of Cups is a film as we have come to expect from Terrence Malick: grand, existential and with a message that will keep you thinking.
