Whether it's a romantic comedy with your date, a great action film with your mates or that old classic - Forum Groningen offers a great open-air cinema experience on Wednesday evenings.
During the Cinematic Beauty film programme, we take you on a journey through seven beautiful classics from around the world, each of which sheds a different light on beauty. What is the purpose of beauty in these films, and how does it contribute to what a film wants to tell us? In collaboration with a team of film scholars from the University of Groningen, Cinematic Beauty seeks answers to these questions.
Every month, parents, grandparents and caregivers can take their baby to see a brand new film from our program. At these special screenings in the luxury hall, a microwave is available, the lights are dimmed, the volume is turned down and there are changing mats available. This way, you won't miss a film. All films are English friendly.
You’ll find Camera Café on the fifth floor. This floor is home to our five cinema theatres, making Camera Café the ideal place to enjoy a drink or some nibbles before or after your film. You can order your cappuccino, grilled cheese sandwich or craft beer at the bar. Enjoy the view of the Forum’s atrium and the Martini church from your table. Come for the cinema, stay for the atmosphere!
