A failed burglary and a catastrophic back injury kickstart a total nightmare.
For burglar Jamie, a routine job in a remote mansion turns into a spectacular disaster when she injures her back. Jamie and her increasingly desperate sister must try to escape before the owner of the house returns. Pain, panic, stupid decisions, and unexpected violence come together in this mercilessly hilarious home-invasion comedy.
Directors Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer let a simple premise spiral delightfully out of control in 86 minutes of pain, panic, and dark humor. Lizzy Caplan and Lucy DeVito shine as the two hopeless sisters for whom a seemingly simple job turns out to be anything but, and John Stamos visibly enjoys his role as the dangerously charming antagonist. After its premiere at SXSW, this family extravaganza produced by Danny, Lucy, and Jake DeVito became a real festival favorite, and you can see why: Drag combines slapstick with brutal violence and extracts maximum tension from the claustrophobic setting and the desperate characters. Super tight, super mean, super unpredictable, and súper funny.
