A live recording of Carl Orff's world-famous musical masterpiece Carmina Burana, performed by the more than 100 people of the National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine.
With star soloists Alina Tkachuk, Bohdan Panchenko and Oleksandr Prokopovych in the leading roles, this promises to be an impressive performance.
The world premiere of this opera took place in February 2020 in Odessa, Ukraine, and was a resounding success. Despite the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine is pleased to be able to reach an even wider audience worldwide through this live recording. This live recording was directed by Rolf Dekens (Hans Zimmer Live) and the sound was provided by Arjan Rietvink (Within Temptation: Let Us Burn: Elements & Hydra Live in Concert). The production was supervised by San Fu Maltha (Zwartboek, Ennio).
