When a young black homosexual man joins the marines, he finds unexpected camaraderie.
Ellis, a young homosexual black man, has a poor relationship with his mother, who wants to have nothing to do with him. With little hope for his future, he decides to join the marines. Fighting against the deeply rooted prejudices and grueling training, he finds unexpected camaraderie, strength and support in this community. His new sense of belonging deeply influences his identity and will change him forever.
Director Elegance Bratton based his debut film on events from his own life.
