It is time to reflect on the disadvantages of the qualitative rise of artificially intelligent systems.

The host of the program is Nick Stevens, Innovation consultant. There are two guests: Anders Sandberg and Jarno Duursma. Sandberg is a researcher, science debator, futurist, transhumanist and author. He has a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience from the University of Stockholm, and is currently a James Martin Research Fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford. Duursma is an expert in the field of artificial intelligence, speaker and ex-SMC050 supporter.

Artificial intelligence is an absolute driver of technological innovation. This technological trend will bring us prosperity, efficiency, well-being and convenience. As a society, we will reap the sweet fruits of this trend. Yet we must not be naive. Like any technological development, it also has its disadvantages, such as cybercrime, autonomous weapons and the far-reaching consequences of algorithmic decision-making. And it is not a bad idea to reflect on the consequences of possible 'super-intelligence', no matter how unimaginable and speculative that may appear to be.

Just like any technological development, it has disadvantages, such as the loss of privacy, manipulative software, cyber crime, autonomous weapons and the far-reaching consequences of algorithmic decisions
