Chilling with friends, partying, pushing boundaries… That's how most teenagers spend their summer before turning eighteen. But not Ivy. Her loving but overprotective parents have other plans: four weeks at Children Run Free Camp, a summer camp for young people living with the effects of cancer. After one look at the worthless promotional video filled with sunsets and cheap crossfades, Ivy is done: as if cancer isn’t bad enough, now she has to go to summer camp as well.

But 'chemo camp' turns out to be surprisingly more fun than expected. She meets a group of young people who, like her, want to get everything out of life: snorting prescribed pills, drinking vodka, skinny dipping… and maybe even falling in love.
