Cinekid films

Watch the most beautiful, exciting, and wonderfully weird films from around the world in one of our cinemas. This year's English programme includes the titles Shaun the Sheep and Stitch Head. All Cinekid film screenings are shown without an intermission. Scroll down to view the programme.

Cinekid Lab

Before or after your film, dive into a world of amazing installations and games throughout the building. Explore the world of AI and become a test subject, look into the mirror of the future, defuse a virtual bomb, or race your friends on the Mario Kart track.

Cinekid Workshops

Get hands-on in one of our exciting workshops. Learn to fly a soccer drone, transform yourself into a movie monster with professional film make-up, discover how film sound effects are created, explore traditional animation, or step in front of the camera and make your own vlog.

Cinekid VR Cinema

Put on a VR headset and experience the 360-degree film VRolijk 2050. Join a mouse, a walrus, and an octopus on an adventure as they try to survive in a world that has changed dramatically. These funny and imaginative short films will make you laugh while encouraging you to think about how we can take better care of our planet together.

Cinekid Film Screenings & Workshops

A ticket for a Cinekid film screening or a Cinekid workshop automatically gives you access to the Cinekid Lab on the same day: our digital playground filled with installations and games throughout Forum Groningen. On the day of your visit, exchange your ticket for a wristband at the Cinekid information desk on the ground floor.

Only Visiting the Cinekid Lab?

Want to explore only the installations and mini-workshops in the Cinekid Lab? You can purchase a separate Lab ticket on the day of your visit at the yellow desk in the Forum atrium (ground floor) or online via our website. A limited number of standalone Lab tickets is available, so availability is first come, first served. To guarantee your place in the Cinekid Lab, purchase a combo ticket for a Cinekid film screening or workshop.

Do You Have a Stadjerspas?

A Cinekid film screening or workshop costs just €4.00 with a Stadjerspas. This ticket also includes access to the Cinekid Lab on the same day. You can book your ticket(s) in advance online. Please bring your valid Stadjerspas with you for verification.
