Hundreds of Beavers

After his apple brandy business is completely destroyed, a drunken salesman is left with no money or shelter in an icy wilderness. He tries to survive and learns the art of fur trapping through trial and error. When he falls in love with the daughter of a fur trader, he receives a seemingly impossible task: catch hundreds of beavers and he may marry her. What starts as a simple hunt grows into an increasingly absurd battle in which ingenious traps, crazy chases, and an army of beavers make it more and more difficult for him.
