Three friends dive into the hedonistic nightlife of Amsterdam until the, then mysterious, AIDS makes its entrance. 32 years later, in the lockdown of 2021, they try to revive their friendship.
Amsterdam, 1986. In the flamboyant nightclub Downtown, Ronnie, Lennart, and Bas seem untouchable. Their close friendship revolves around nights filled with freedom, desire, and excess, against the backdrop of a city in full motion. But as the first rumors of AIDS start to spread, the atmosphere within their world slowly changes. While Ronnie tries to look ahead cautiously, Lennart and Bas cling to a life that seems endless - until Bas suddenly disappears without a trace. Over thirty years later, during the COVID pandemic, Ronnie unexpectedly spots Bas again in the subway. He decides to organize a dinner, with Lennart also joining, their first meeting in years.
