Docs: Naza

Filmed during the nighttime hours on the rooftops of Tel Aviv, Abraham and Szor investigate the systems and decision-making behind the Israeli bombings of Gaza. From their position as Israelis, they pose an uncomfortable and fundamental question: how can a society allow the dehumanization of another group of people – and what mechanisms make that possible?

The film builds on journalistic research from, among others, The Guardian. After No Other Land, in which Abraham and Szor, together with Palestinian filmmakers Basel Adra and Hamdan Ballal, documented the displacement and destruction of communities in the West Bank, they now turn their gaze to their own Israeli society. 

Naza had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
