The Manager takes the viewer behind closed doors, where managers and employees balance between criticism, understanding, and discomfort during performance reviews. A revealing and surprisingly humorous portrait of the modern workplace.
What starts as a formal evaluation evolves into a revealing portrait of modern work culture. The film exposes how difficult it is to combine authority and empathy, and how great the need remains for genuine connection.
By showing different management layers within organizations, the film illustrates how leaders provide feedback and seek a balance between giving direction and human leadership.
With humor, awkward silences, and a sharp observational eye, The Manager shows what happens when people try to meet each other within a system focused on performance and yield.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Docs: The Manager.
