Director Andrey Zvyagintsev (Minotaur) explores how a single word can disrupt a family and how difficult it is to distinguish truth from fear and desire.

A man leaves the city with his wife and two children to settle in the parental home in the countryside. In this idyllic setting, old tensions within the couple resurface. And then his wife tells him something for which he is not prepared. Confronted with a tragic dilemma, the man will have to confront his inner demons and make decisions that may have dramatic consequences.
