Brief History of Love

Rocco (Adriano Giannnini), a charming middle-aged man, catches his breath after a round of chess boxing in a remote bar in Rome where he meets Lea (Pilar Fogliati), a quirky, determined younger woman. 

Their attraction is palpable from the very first moment while both are occupied. An affair blossoms - despite the “rule of three” (three encounters are coincidental, four is a relationship). 

As time passes, Lea’s obsession with Rocco grows and she increasingly intrudes into his life and relationship (played by Valeria Golino). Until the story takes a truly surprising turn...
