Raak mij aan! Touch me!

Through revealing interviews and archival footage, filmmaker Nick Broomfield explores how creative musical genius Brian Jones disappeared from The Rolling Stones and into the shadows of history.

At the age of 14, director Nick Broomfield met guitarist Brian Jones by chance on a train. As one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones in 1962, Jones was at the height of his success, with the world at his feet. This film highlights the seven turbulent years until 1969, when Brian Jones had to leave the band. Shortly thereafter, he drowned in his swimming pool.

The many archival materials, with Nick Broomfield having himself advised by ex-Stones bassist Bill Wyman, show the freedom and exuberance of the '60s. Broomfield also sheds light on the relationships and rivalries within The Rolling Stones in those early years.
