Learn the Art of Traditional Animation and Create Your Own Flipbook.

Making an animated film is no simple task and can sometimes take years! In some productions, every frame is drawn by hand, just like in this workshop. Illustrator Jan-Willem Spakman will introduce you to the world of stop-motion animation. How do individual drawings come together to create a moving story? You'll design your own character and bring it to life in a special flipbook. The language of instruction for this activity is Dutch, but your child is very welcome to join in if he or she speaks another language.

This workshop is hosted by Jan-Willem Spakman and is suitable for children aged 7 and up.

Combi-deal: workshop and Cinekid Lab
This workshop is part of the Cinekid festival. You buy a ticket for a Cinekid workshop for €12,00. Your workshop ticket also gives you access to the Cinekid Lab.
