When Helen unexpectedly loses her father, Alistair, her world collapses. Overwhelmed with grief, she brings a hawk into her home with the goal of training this fearless bird. This attempt to keep the memories of her father and their shared love of nature alive offers Helen a distraction from her grief, but also leads to misunderstandings from those around her. Yet, a deep bond develops between Helen and the bird, allowing her to rediscover the beauty of the world around her.
