The adventurous, enchantingly animated, and compellingly told The Red Turtle is the first feature-length animated film by Oscar winner Michael Dudok de Wit.

The Red Turtle is a dialogue-free animated film about a castaway on an uninhabited island. He repeatedly attempts to escape but is stopped by a mysterious red turtle. This leads to a magical-realistic story about survival, connection with nature, love, and the cyclical nature of life.

This results in an adventurous, enchantingly animated, and compellingly told film with rewatchability comparable to the most classic fairy tales. It is about the cycle of life, about how memories make you human, and how that human relates to nature. Executed in a completely unique way.
