Driven by the desire to conquer his demons, artist Jeroen Kooijmans presents in Love-22-Love an ode to art, the love for his wife, and the dark corners of his psyche. At the bottom of his existence, love serves as medicine.

Incredibly raw are the images in which he films himself as he becomes entangled in a psychosis. In this intimate documentary, Kooijmans reconstructs the period leading up to these moments and the long journey that followed, entirely based on personal archival material from himself and his beloved.

Love-22-Love is above all a love declaration to his wife, artist Elspeth Diederix, his anchor in life and the light at the end of his tunnel.
