Bouchra

The first animated feature film by Orian Barki and Meriem Bennani is a disarmingly witty and imaginative story about the complicated relationship between a mother and her queer daughter, with coyotes in the leading roles. Bouchra, an international co-production, is the first feature-length animated film by documentary filmmaker Orian Barki and visual artist Meriem Bennani. The duo previously gained attention with the eight-part animated TV series 2 Lizards (2020). Bouchra was selected for prestigious international film festivals (Chicago, Toronto, Thessaloniki) and received several awards. Meriem Bennani won the 2019 Eye Art & Film Prize.
