In this intriguing psychological thriller, you meet Donnie, a troubled teenager who struggles with his mental health and suddenly encounters a mysterious, gigantic rabbit.

Maryland, United States, 1988. The troubled teenager Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal) is haunted by the ominous appearance of a man-sized rabbit. The creature predicts the end of the world in exactly 28 days, 5 hours, 12 minutes, and 42 seconds.

In a series of bizarre events, including a plane engine crashing into Donnie's house, fate seems inevitable. Donnie is not the same after the prediction. Everything points to a strange disruption in time. How does he save himself, his friends, and his family?

Director Richard Kelly was only 26 years old and hadn’t even graduated from film school when he made his debut; yet he managed to cast big names like Drew Barrymore and Patrick Swayze.
