Rose has a close bond with her older brother Sam, her rock, who even lets her sleep on his couch when her relationship with her girlfriend ends. But when Sam is accused of a serious sexual offense and Rose is asked to testify against him, her worldview collapses. As she balances loyalty to her brother and her own conscience, everything she thought she knew about Sam begins to falter.

Director Sarah Miro Fischer makes the tension and complexity of human relationships palpable and shows how family ties can lead to unexpected and difficult moral choices.

After her short film Spit (2021), Fischer made her feature film debut with The Good Sister, which had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and later screened at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
