Luis (Sergi López) arrives with his young son Esteban (Bruno Núñez Arjona) at an illegal rave deep in the southern Moroccan desert. He is searching for his daughter Mar, who vanished months earlier during one of these boundless parties. Desperate for any trace of her, they follow a group of ravers even deeper into the desert. What unfolds is a physical and spiritual journey, driven by a hypnotic soundtrack.

Sirat won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Alongside actor Sergi López (Pan’s Labyrinth, Happy as Lazzaro), Oliver Laxe relies largely on an inexperienced cast. The film was co-produced by Pedro Almodóvar’s production company and is shortlisted for the Oscar for Best International Feature Film.
