Céline is looking forward to the arrival of her first child. She is not pregnant; her wife will give birth to their daughter. A touching and humorous portrait of queer parenthood and the obstacles that come with it.
In order to be legally recognized as the mother, Céline must adopt her child and prove that she deserves a place in her daughter's life. In that process, she is asked to collect fifteen statements confirming that she will be a good mother. Under the watchful eye of friends, family, and the law, she searches for her place as a parent.
The film, based on the personal experiences of director Alice Douard, poignantly tells the story from the perspective of the non-pregnant partner in the final stages of pregnancy.
The film premiered at the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival and was subsequently shown at Film by the Sea and the Pink Film Days, where it won the Audience Award.
