Twin sisters Delphine and Solange dream of a life full of love, art, and adventure outside the quiet town of Rochefort. When a traveling carnival arrives in town, opportunities suddenly seem to present themselves. Unbeknownst to them, the characters constantly pass each other by, while the ideal lover sometimes turns out to be literally just around the corner. 

A loving ode to classic MGM musicals, entirely in its own colorful style. Michel Legrand's swinging music, the choreography, and the playful use of chance make Les demoiselles de Rochefort one of the most beloved film musicals of all time. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Music.
