Heartwarming, magical-realistic stories about grief and enduring friendship. Adela bears witness to the death of her best friend on a journey through time and rediscovers her anger.

Third feature film by Ana Guevara and Leticia Jorge (Tanta agua). After the death of her best friend, Adela embarks on a journey through time and finds joy once again. When Adela attends the funeral of her best friend Elena, she feels barely connected to the others saying goodbye. The hushed voices, the cold fluorescent light—nothing reminds her of the joy Elena spread.

Emotionally exhausted, Adela searches for her car, only to board a mysterious bus that takes her back in time to a weekend she once spent at a beach house with the lively and funny Elena. The two shared their passionate hobby—reading detective novels—cycled, and danced the night away. Agarrame fuerte (Don’t You Let Me Go) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the Nora Ephron Award.

There are no new dates planned (yet) for Agarrame fuerte.
