In the winter of 1979 - shortly after the assassination of President Park Chung-hee - Seoul does not escape political chaos. When security commander Chun Doo-gwang (Hwang Jung-min) orchestrates a coup, a direct clash ensues with principled chief officer Lee Tae-shin (Jung Woo-sung), who believes the army should not interfere in politics. Lee's attempt to stop the coup unfolds in a nerve-wracking confrontation between loyalty, power and idealism.
