Design and print your own unique buttons with the 3D printer and learn how to turn a digital idea into a tangible object.

In this workshop, you will make (max) 10 buttons. You can choose whether to make the same button 10 times or create smaller sets of different designs. Make sure you know exactly how big your buttons need to be. For the print, you can choose from the basic colors red, yellow, blue, green, orange, light pink, black, and white.

We will use the first one and a half hours to learn how to draw a 3D design on the computer. For this, we will use the accessible drawing program Tinkercad. In the last half hour, you will learn how to prepare this design for the printer using the program PrusaSlicer. 'Slicing' is the process of dividing your digital design into very thin layers that the 3D printer can understand.

Since the 3D printer needs time to make everything, you can pick up your buttons a week later.
