The sequel to The Godfather (1972), Coppola's epic portrait of the dark side of the American Dream. At least as strong as the original.
Coppola split the story into two storylines. In one, we see how Michael (Al Pacino) - the new Godfather - becomes increasingly cynical, insensitive, and violent. In a parallel montage, we follow Michael's father Vito (chillingly played by Robgert De Niro) as he tries to support his family emigrated from Sicily to America in the early 20th century.
With 15-minute intermission.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Classics: The Godfather Part II - 50th Anniversary.
