Film x Philosophy

In our Film x Philosophy series, we explore themes such as humanity, technology, and existentialism through film. The films are introduced and followed by a discussion led by Jacob Boorsma. 

Jacob Boorsma (1997) has been teaching about his two passions—philosophy and film—for many years. He studied Film in Brussels, where he made many short films, and graduated from the University of Groningen with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy. With encyclopedic knowledge of film and specialized knowledge of philosophy, Jacob makes even the most complex concepts understandable in an accessible and engaging way.
