The internationally acclaimed exhibition Wildlife Photographer of the Year featuring the world’s best nature photographs.
The highly acclaimed Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition was on display in Groningen once again. The international photo exhibition on loan from the Natural History Museum, London features over 100 photographs that show the rich diversity of life on our planet. It celebrates the richness and beauty of life on earth while also showing the impact of humans on nature. The photos have been selected from approximately 50,000 entries in the most prestigious competition of its kind. The exhibition was on view at Forum Groningen from June 29 to November 3, 2024.
The Wildlife exhibition celebrates the richness and beauty of life on earth and shows the influence of man on nature. To accompany the exhibition there are various activities, such as photography workshops, excursions with nature photographers and a photo contest. You can read more about the programme here soon. There are also educational programs for Dutch primary and secondary schools.
Touring photo exhibition
For 59 years, the Natural History Museum in London has organized the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition: the world's largest search for the best wildlife photographers. For this leading photo competition, wildlife photographers of all ages and from all over the world can send in photos. Last year, as many as 49,957 nature photos were submitted by photographers from 95 different countries. An international jury of professional photographers evaluated the photos. The exhibition highlights the winning photos from a total of nineteen categories. The videos in the exhibition give a behind-the-scenes look at a number of finalist and show the stories behind the winning photos.
Forum Groningen presents the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in collaboration with the Natural History Museum in London.
