Raak mij aan! Touch me!

Raw film by Koen Mortier (Ex Drummer) about childhood trauma and the hard work in youth psychiatry. With music by Amenra.

Neglected teenager Liam grows up in a family where drugs and violence play the leading role. When his destructive home is exchanged for a youth institution, the boy finds comfort, but he also ends up in a group of boys, each of whom has their own problems. Liam is sensitive, wary and afraid of getting hurt, but damaged to the point that he also has a dangerous side. Little by little, his counselors manage to break him open, but Liam's past continues to haunt him.

The film - based on the book by a Flemish youth worker - was critically acclaimed in Belgium and has already won two prizes.
