Enter the fascinating and disturbing world of Paranoia Agent, the unique and multi-layered TV series by Japanese master animator Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Paprika).
This series masterfully intertwines reality and illusion, unfolding a story as mysterious as it is socially critical. When Tokyo is rocked by a series of attacks by a mysterious boy on roller skates - armed with a golden baseball bat - it seems to be just a strange crime spree. But it soon emerges that each victim has something in common: they are all under extreme psychological pressure. What follows is a dizzying journey through the mind of a society at the breaking point.
Paranoia Agent is much more than a thriller: it is a commentary on modern Japanese society, the pressures of conformity, the flight into fantasy and the thin line between reality and madness. Each character, each episode, offers a different perspective - and no answer is simple.
This is the second half of the series! Watch everything, then also buy a ticket for the first part here.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Paranoia Agent 2.
