The award-winning production of Noël Coward's provocative comedy with Andrew Scott (Vanya, All Of Us Strangers) returns to the silver screen.
As he prepares for an international tour, the extravagant life of star actor Garry Essendine threatens to completely derail. Burned out by an escalating identity crisis and several jealous partners vying for his attention, Garry's final days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic attacks and soul-searching.
Filmed live from London's legendary The Old Vic theater during a sold-out performance, Matthew Warchus (Pride, Matilda The Musical) directs this dazzling and surprisingly modern reflection on fame, desire and loneliness.
Please note: this film is spoken in English and has English subtitles. There is an intermission in the performance.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for National Theatre Live: Present Laughter.
