True psychological portrait of the last months in the life of Quisling, prime minister of Norway during WWII, open admirer of Hitler and collaborator with the German occupiers.
Vidkun Quisling, prime minister of Norway from 1942-1945, is a fascinating figure in the history of 20th-century politics. An open admirer of Hitler and collaborator with Nazism, he allowed thousands of Jews to be deported to labour camps, where they perished. Yet even his sworn enemies admitted that he was ‘a very complex human being’. The very last words Quisling uttered before his execution by firing squad: ‘I have been unjustly convicted and die innocent.’
This dramatisation of Quisling's last days by Erik Poppe was inspired by the diaries of priest Peder Olsen and his wife Heidi. An exceptionally intense film with strong performances.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Quisling - The Final Days.
