Power To The People: John & Yoko Live in NYC is a concert film from 2026 featuring footage of two magnificent live performances by John Lennon & Yoko Ono at Madison Square Garden, New York City, on August 30, 1972.
Originally filmed by director Steve Gebhardt in 1972, this 2026 version of the concert film was directed by Simon Hilton, edited by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, and produced by Peter Worsley and Sean Ono Lennon. Music production was handled by Sean Ono Lennon, and mixed and mastered by Paul Hicks and Sam Gannon.
The hits performed include John’s ‘New York City’, ‘Instant Karma!’, ‘Imagine’, and ‘Mother’, Yoko’s ‘Don’t Worry Kyoko’ and ‘Open Your Box’, rousing renditions of ‘Come Together’ and ‘Hound Dog’, and as an encore, ‘Give Peace a Chance’ with special guests such as Stevie Wonder, Melanie, and many others.
