After a brief encounter at a concert, the two women quickly fall head over heels in love and make plans for the future. They want to get married and an intriguing idea emerges. Would it be possible to say “I do” in every country where it is legal? 

Project 22, named after the number of countries where same-sex marriage was legal in 2017, quickly took shape. After just four ceremonies, their journey is abruptly interrupted and they are forced to unexpectedly abandon their plans. Julian is inspired by the book of the same name by author Fleur Pierets.
