Flesh and Fuel (Du fioul dans les artères) is a moving and tender romantic drama about two men who find themselves unexpectedly drawn to one another. Set against a backdrop of deserted rest stops and endless highways, director Pierre Le Gall reveals how love can blossom in places where no one ever stays for long.
Étienne lives for the road. As a truck driver, he travels from one rest stop to another, his existence unfolding amidst endless stretches of asphalt and fleeting encounters with strangers. He keeps his emotions carefully at bay, until he crosses paths with a Polish driver named Bartosz.
What begins as a chance encounter evolves into an unexpected connection, forcing Étienne to confront the solitude he has so meticulously cultivated. He realizes he craves something more than the anonymous moments to which he has grown accustomed. But how can a relationship have a chance when you are constantly on the move?
