Remo Manfredini was once a legendary jockey, but his self-destructive behaviour led him astray. An absurd and dryly comical gem from Argentina, reminiscent of the work of Wes Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos and Aki Kaurismäki.

Now he races mainly to pay off his towering debts to a criminal gang led by the shady mafia boss Sirena. During the most important race of his life, things go wrong: Remo causes a tragic accident in which one of the most valuable horses is killed. He himself is seriously injured. When he regains consciousness in hospital, he flees. With bandages still around his head, he assumes a new identity and roams the streets of Buenos Aires, on the run from Sirena.

It is the new film by Luis Ortega, the leading Argentine director known for his poetically charged and visually intense style.
