This raw documentary paints a personal picture of the punk revolution through the memories of Glen Matlock, the original bassist of The Sex Pistols. Featuring well-known figures and a vivid reconstruction of the United Kingdom in the 1970s, the film offers an intimate look at a cultural turning point.
In 2026, it will be exactly 50 years since The Sex Pistols' debut single, Anarchy in the UK, was released. Punk was born: roaring, brutal, dirty, and raw, and with a raised middle finger, the group caused a true shockwave in the UK, which was ravaged by crisis and unemployment. In this raw film, original bassist Glen Matlock tells the story, immediately making clear the major, often surprising role he played in the band's success.
With a wealth of historical footage and interviews, this film, based on Matlock's book of the same name, tells the story of the band's origins, the release of the first single, and the debut LP Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols.
