Warren Ellis has been one of Nick Cave's infamous Bad Seeds for over thirty years. Less well known is his role as one of the founders of Ellis Park, a sanctuary for abused and smuggled animals.

As an important member of the iconic bands The Dirty Three and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, multi-instrumentalist Ellis has left a brilliant and unorthodox mark on the music world for more than three decades. Far from the international concert halls where he performs, lies a very different passion project: a nature reserve in the forests of Sumatra. Co-founded by Ellis and led by the tireless Dutchwoman Femke den Haas, the dedicated team of conservationists rescues trafficked and abused animals and then devotes years to their care. This documentary offers both a deeply personal insight into the creative mind of an artist through the act of creation itself, as well as an inspiring example of how much can be achieved through collaboration.
