In One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, director Miloš Forman (Amadeus) shows how one man's struggle against a ruthless system can grow into a poignant indictment of authority and conformism.
Based on Ken Kesey's influential novel, the film follows the rebellious R.P. McMurphy (Jack Nicholson), who pretends to be insane to escape forced labour, but within the walls of a psychiatric institution enters into a new, much more fundamental confrontation. This classic by director Miloš Forman became a cornerstone of American cinema in the 1970s and won the five major Oscars: Best Film, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay. Now back in the cinema in a brand new 4K restoration in honour of its 50th anniversary.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Classics: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - 50th Anniversary.
