Satoshi Kon's masterpiece combines the magic of Christmas with the harsh realities of life on the streets. His vibrant animation and sharp characterisation allow three homeless protagonists to shine in an unexpectedly heartwarming and comical adventure.

On the bustling streets of Tokyo, you meet three homeless souls: Gin, an alcoholic; Hana, a transgender woman; and Miyuki, a young girl on the run. On Christmas night, they find a baby in the rubbish bin, along with a letter that leads them to the child's family. What follows is an extraordinary journey full of humour, drama and moments of pure humanity.

Tokyo Godfathers is a surprising animated film that masterfully combines comedy and drama. A story about friendship, redemption and the unlikely bonds we sometimes forge, even in the most difficult circumstances.
