The feature debut of the acclaimed 'Coen Brothers' (No Country For Old Men, Fargo, The Big Lebowski). In honor of the 40th anniversary, they made a new edit, restored in 4K and with dolby sound.
With Blood Simple, Joel and Ethan Coen immediately delivered their darkly comic calling card. A cafe owner in a small Texas town discovers that his wife is having an affair with one of his employees and calls in a private detective to kill the two. It just turns out he's not too smart. When a body is discovered, a complex web of deceit and double agendas is created and it is only a matter of time before there are more victims. The plot lines become ingeniously intertwined, with strong performances by Frances McDormand (Fargo), who makes her feature debut here.
There are no new dates planned (yet) for Classics: Blood Simple - 40th anniversary.
