Every month, Forum Groningen and WERC Collective showcase a new digital wonder by a local artist on the large LED screen.
Groningen is rich in talented artists who create digitally. They animate, program, model, edit, capture, and render. The digital art collective WERC and Forum Groningen are joining forces to give these creatives a platform. They have the opportunity to showcase their work to a wide audience in the city's living room. The large LED screen in the central hall (over 8.5 x 4.5 meters) is the ideal place to do this. Come by and admire a new artist with an inspiring digital artwork every month! The artwork is visible throughout the day on a quarter of the LED screen and is displayed twice a day at full screen, at 12 and 5 PM.
Are you an artist and would you like to showcase your work on the WERC Portal in the Forum? Then register using the form.

About the artwork
In this animation (test) films, he explores the relationship between image, rhythm, and movement. The film is a frame-by-frame animation made with a procreate drawing app, or created using paper cuttings, arranged and moved according to a rhythmic base pattern. By capturing each subtle shift individually, an organic and tactile sense of motion emerges, allowing visual form and musicality to merge.
About the artist
Jeroen van Olphen is an artist and musician based in Groningen, The Netherlands, and a graduate of Academie Minerva.
