Trans Memoria

Victoria Verseau met Meril in 2012 at a hotel in Thailand, where they stayed together in the period before and after their gender-affirming surgery. Years later, she returned to the hotel room they shared. Meanwhile, Meril died by suicide. Together with Athena and Aamina, who are going through their own transition, she reflects in and around this hotel on issues of femininity, loss and death. In an open manner, Verseau explores what it is like to be a trans woman. She shares intimate moments of doubt and uncertainty.
