Oppenheimer, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, is an epic thriller that tells the fascinating story of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world to save the world.
Scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer directs the highly classified Manhattan Project. The Hungarian scientist Edward Teller, who invented the hydrogen bomb, is one of the contributors. Oppenheimer is married to Katherine, but has an affair with Communist Party member Jean Tatlock. The government considers her dangerous to the interests of American security. Oppenheimer is ultimately responsible for the invention of the atomic bomb.
